Alpenglow at Arctic Valley is unique because it is staffed and maintained by volunteers. In 2001 the IRS declared the Anchorage Ski Club (ASC) exempt from federal income tax under section 501(a) of the Internal Revenue Code as an organization described in section 501(c)3. Individuals or organizations who would like to make monitary or material contributions to the ASC may write off donations made after December 13th, 2000 on their tax returns. Volunteers may be able to write off expenses for travel. If you have not taken advantage of our tax exempt status on your 2000 or 2001 tax return, you should speak with your financial consultant about an amended return. All donations made will be eligible for deduction, according to IRS guidelines governing donations to a non-profit organization.
